A peek at the page

What kind of content — and how much

Each category gets a 0–5 score from readers, plus tags for the shape of it (fade-to-black vs explicit, scrapes vs gore). If only a handful of people have rated a book, we say so — so you know how much weight to give the number.

Example content

Seven categories. Honest tags.

How it works

  1. 01

    Find the book

Search by title, author, or ISBN. We hang onto the real work and its editions — not a fuzzy lookalike.

  2. 02

    See what’s inside

Community scores from 0–5 for each category, plus tags for the kind of content (gore vs scrapes, fade-to-black vs explicit).

  3. 03

    Add your own read

When you’re ready, log in, score what you noticed, tag what showed up, and leave a short note if you like.

For the questions stars never answer

  • Parents & guardians

Is the YA fight scene cartoonish, or does it sit with the injury? Are there slurs on the page? You’ll get specifics — not a foggy “mature themes.”

  • Readers picking their heat level

Fade-to-black only? Soft open-door? You can filter by intensity and tags instead of guessing from stars and vibes.

  • Anyone who’s been blindsided

Self-harm, animal harm, discrimination themes — flagged before you sink a weekend into a book that wasn’t ready for you (or you for it).

Stay oriented

Series, formats, more from the author

On every book page you’ll find the rest of the series, audiobook or dramatized takes, edition formats, and more from the same author — handy once you know what’s inside.

Real readers. A shared scale.

Scores are medians from people who actually sat with the book — not a brand checklist. Thin samples get labeled, so you’re never left wondering if “4” is one loud opinion. Every category has plain-language anchors: a 4 means graphic or sustained, not “that surprised me.” We’re not here to stamp age ratings. We’re here so you can see what other readers found on the page.
